I've been thinking about using this stuff to make a set of match grips for my 2240, its a very maluable clay that is very forgiving to shape and stuff, but 15 mins in the oven and it goes hard and forms a almost plastic material.

I've ordered a block and i'll let you know how I get on, I'm shooting for something similar to the walther match pistols, they look very sexy. If I have enough left over ill do some other stuff as well.

Looks interesting.  Post up some pics of the process.

Is it paint-able after it bakes?

yes, it can be sanded/drilled, what ever you want.

I plan to either 'stipple' the clay before I cure it or use car body filler to skim over the surface, sand it and then paint

I'll do one each and see what i prefer I think.

You can also cure it, add more and cure it again and it will all be 1 piece without a problem
