Same here! This one remains in the family. I may have messed up my aluminum breech, but have one more thing to try before giving up on the shot-shell project. I'll post up all the details when I am satisfied with the results. As it stands, I can put it back to original in about 15 minutes.......just have to love the 22xx platform for fun builds

No offense to the 13xx platform at all..., but at a certain point in time the pumping starts to become a bit annoying hence why Crosman developed the 2240

while i dont own a 1377 myself yet ill have to agree with the "buy both" crowd. they are both such nice guns and ive yet to see anyone settle with owning just one crosman

i know for sure most of my disposable income is going into crosmans and mods for a good while ahead

That gun was planned and built by Michael "chongman" Andrews.  Yes, Blue Fork frame and trigger.  Don Cothran tube and caps.  Not sure about the breech.  Chongman did the grips, I believe... and the fitment of the Disco front sight, etc.  Still missing the chongster!

So what does it take to build a stubby?

The main item is a shortened tube that will take 8 gram co2 carts instead of the longer 12 gram carts.  If the tube is made righteously, everything else will fit (front and rear caps, valve, hammer/sping, trigger frame, barrel and breech from above).  Cutting a barrel down to nearly nothing... etc.

I have not made one yet because when I would have, Michael was making Alice and I was hearing about it.  (By the way, Maximus Prime, my build for the first throw down sold weeks ago with additions loading it to the gills for mid $300's.)  And since then, I have not really had much time for personal builds.  But the main thing I am waiting on is the ability to make a stubby wrap-around grip that can go on a clipped frame (standard or CCS). I do have one of the Blue Fork frames, but I am after something a bit different for my own stubby build. Scaling as many parts down as possible would have a powerful effect.  Kind of like the difference between a child and a "little person".  Slimmer, shorter brake... thinner barrel band, shorter than short breech, etc. might make the entire thing look more miniature (versus just short and stubby).  We'll see (maybe). 

I do have some shorty tubes... stainless, brass and blued, but they are for custom gun builds as they are quite preciou$ and the sticker shock is lessened by folding it into a complete build. We have talked about making and selling shorty's but that is off in the future. And if we do, the tubes will be made in larger batches to bring the price down and availability up for tube only sales.  Too much other is going on right now.
