process of zeroing it in from 25 feet:

Dead on accuracy at 25 feet once it was zeroed in ( was using Crosman field hunting .177 pellets, but just got wadcutter recently )

I gotta say I really love this sight, it is dead on accurate as you can see from the pics. It does come with a hefty $50 price tag though, but I like it much more than the scoped red dot sights. 3V batteries are super cheap with a 5 pack only being $3.

I gotta say installing the steel breech definitely wasn't easy, even though i was watching 3 different youtube videos on how. I ran into some serious problems that all 3 videos failed to mention/show certain items which forced me to disassemble the whole thing and learn how things were mechanically working. An example of 1 problem was the hammer spring wouldnt go in enough far enough to cap it closed and I couldnt figure out why and none of the people have the problem I did in the video. It was only when i took apart the barrel and breech that I saw the hammer had a notch above it that had to be pushed in front of the breech mechanism because when I was fiddling with it, the hammer pin slid back and then i installed the breech in front of it which caused the hammer to be unable to drive forward so I couldnt install the spring deep enough to cap it off. Another issue was the horrible rear screw not going in for some reason. I still can't figure out but the top rear sight screw only went in before the bottom rear screw, if I screwed the bottom rear screw it would somehow not screw in.

I also have an original crosman 1979 air pellet gun from my Uncle. I mainly had to get the new version because the old couldn't install the steel breech. Heres a pic of them side by side ( before the red dot modification )

Great first build, Gabb. Next time you tear it down for more modifications, you can make a better video for all the new people who will follow. Accuracy looks excellent, too.

Don't tighten the rear grip and breech screws until you get both started in the threading of the compression tube rear cap. This gives you some wiggle room to get each screw started. The rear breech screw from the stock plastic sights needs to be shortened slighty when using it with a steel breech. I will assume that you shortened the screw a wee bit.
