What to do? Decided what to do

Did run a 24" on a pumper "way back when", but over time found it too long for my tastes. Ended up cutting it to 20" and decided I liked it there. Personal choice....a wonderful thing.

Time has marched on and today, my remaining pumpers are in pistol and carbine format....10.5" and 14.5" barrels.

Would at least shoot it before going after the crown. Even if the crown is ugly, this gives you a benchmark of sorts against which to judge the results of your own efforts.

  your thinking is what I was thinking. I can use it and if I want it shorter, cut it down. Good thinking on the crown. Thanks

Same here... 24" barrel is mostly a carbine, not a pistol. And don't forget to polish/chamfer the breech while you have the barrel in "crown" mode before installing

  I'm assuming carbine talk is allowed as well? If not I'll just stick to pistols

Carbine, rifle. pistol, it's all fair game here (even non-Crosman, but don't tell anyone  )
