Are you still looking for a 2289? I agree the "extra stuff" in the Doomsday Bug Out Kit is mostly fluff (especially the backpack, the water bottle and the 1st aid kit). Never-the-less, the "kit" still might be the way to go. WalMart has them for $83.33 (with free S&H if you use Site-to-Store). You can buy a 1322 from WalMart for ~$55 by the time you order the parts needed to make it into a 2289, you'll have over $94 "invested". Seems foolish to me to spend >$10 to NOT get something! I'd just get the Doomsday Bug Out Kit from WM and toss the "extras" the the FREE box at your next garage sale. Just sayin'. Flex
