In a few days, there will be a large group of new handles in stainless and brass that I will put a special price on for CAPOF members.  I will put it in the for sale section. I am talking about a dozen or so different designs in both stainless and brass.

My good friend Michael Andrews (CAPOF's own "chongman") made great parts (especially his handles) as we all know.  He and I chat messaged many hours over many months talking about all kinds of things.  I think we learned a good bit from those conversations... I KNOW I did.  He steered me to my lathe. Talked me out of stuff... into stuff.  Added to my ideas. Shared his.  I miss that.  I wish above all else that Michael would return... all better and to again create his art.  I will always hope for that.

I have held COMPLETELY off of handles because of one sentence from my Master (chongman): "Just don't copy my stuff!"  I understood that he was proud of his designs and work, so therefore did not want me to mimic that work (as if I could).  I took that so to heart that I have not made any handles since the knurled ones that come in black, chrome and brass.  They are not of the chongman persuasion and preceded his coming out on handles.  As a matter of fact, he made the first few batches of stainless and brass shafts for me and was a big part of their inception.  Muzzle Brakes, cast grips, powder coating, and hydrographing has kept me occupied elsewhere for quite awhile.

But, now I find it needful (pun intended) to cause the production of some fine and differently varied handles for our guns.  I will never knowingly duplicate anything of Michael's, but all available materials, shapes and design elements will be utilized as we see fit.  And I do not want to feel guilty for making handles.

So, when you see them here on CAPOF I hope you like them.  Buy them up as you see fit (or not if they do not suit your fancy), because they will be produced for a long time... and will be on our site (and eBay) at higher prices in time.  The first wave is for you guys!

Looking forward to seeing your bolt handle designs. You do great work an I expect these to be no different. I will be keeping my eyes out for these as I have been in the market for a few. I also wish Michael would come back and bless us with the works of art he had produced for such a short time. Hope all is well with him. Your message speaks volumes of the type of man you are. Thanks for offering to us first. David, thanks for what you do!!

Wait, handles as in grips, or handles as in bolt knobs?
Black air pistols matter.

I am sorry this is taking longer than I thought.  Between polishing and the holidays, there is just not enough time.  I am thinking I can pic and post Wednesday or Thursday.  CAPOF pricing, you ask?  In the $15 +/- shipped range for these first 3 dozen or so... just for you guys!

BTW... The wood grips production is about a month or two off I would say.  When I say production I mean 30-50 complete sets a week. Blanks will be available at the same time. I intend to not list anything unless I have it, so that means having to build up an inventory and topping off as we go.  Gonna try to NOT be that guy that takes weeks and months to fill all orders.  Forearms and stocks should be near the end of summer.  I will try to stay away from 1911 and Glock grips as long as I can.  ;)  Maybe even go back and cover some older models now that I know Mudduck48 will loan me some frames and grips when I am ready.

We are ahead on design by at least a year.  Working on some elegant combination hardwood and metal wire stock designs now (for next year?).

We have run out of room, so another 600 sf (40 x 15) wood shop is about to go up.  That will slow things down... right before it speeds things up!  ;)

Yeah, I know... talk is cheap. But it be happening!
