Been a spell sense here due to the the Crosmans not getting shot much.

Well, picked up a Like New 1701P that went into the shop for some serious R&R conversion for "Hunter" Pistol Field Target use.

Ordered up a LONGER P-rod main tube, Barrel bracket and some service parts.
* The longer tube is IDENTICAL for Trigger & Receiver fitment but differed in Gauge hole position.
Seems the P-rod uses a longer gauge adapter that the 1701 unit. No issue just made a spacing collar going between valve and adapter to recenter it. Added plenum space which worked out along with boring the I.D. of adapter larger anyways.

Some valve mods to increase flow IN & OUT, Transfer tube sized to match valve at @ .098"

In went a Custom ( Milo74) regulator sourced off the GTA forum. Set point @ 1500# for starters.

Manufactured a Billet 7075 alloy Light weight hammer weighting in at @ 24 grams.

Manufactured a Delrin / Carbon tube LDC taking OAL barrel length to the legal sub 15" limit ... very quiet being a TINK sound when fired.

All assembled with MINIMUM spring preload it shoots CPD 7.9's @ 710 fps which in just knocking on 10 ft lbs. Perfect power for PFT with more power avalible a screw twist away.

Set out target box at @ 23 yards and proceeded to place 10 pellets nearly threw the same hole off a single shooting bag with 7.3 JSB's (  7.3's are more accurate )

Am really liking this pistol ... attempting to knock down some steel with a pistol brings on a whole new dimension to FT  :-*

Scott, I know you are impressed with the regs from Milo74. Is he making them for other gun?

I think so, he had asked me some time ago about tube sizes on some other popular rifles.
Do know he has done Hatsan AT-44, M-rods, P-rods and few others.

E-mail ROY at: saroeuy@yahoo.com and simply inquire  ;)

Just a final update ...

Took pistol up with me to the OREGON STATE FIELD TARGET CHAMPIONSHIP held in Ashland last weekend ( 6-27/28/29 )
On Friday they held  the pistol match of which we had 9 shooters in 2 class's.
Tied for 1st place with a 27/38 but losing the shoot off.  ( 71% kill ) Still pulled off a 2nd place finish with a pistol I had only been shooting for a week.

Gun was very accurate and did give me 45-48 shots on a 3k fill .... simply awesome !!

Kudos for a fine showing. You went up against some competent shooters.
