 :)
I own a Crosman 1701P Silhouette air pistol.  I use it in my 7.5 yard garage "range."  My neighbors are (literally)right next door.  To avoid disturbing them, I installed the shroud from the Crosman 1720T.  It is pretty quiet but I would like suggestions from the assembled airgun mavens on how to make it even more so.
A couple of ideas:  (1) drill out the baffles,  (2) port (drill) the shroud at the receiver,  (3) add a shroud extension,  (4)  other ideas that other airgun fanatics have tried (that work).
Thanks, in advance, for any suggestions.

I do have a duct-seal pellet trap so the noise from pellet impact is minimal.

Let the experiments begin!
My 1701 was extremely quiet when set at about 450 fps

Personally, I would get rid of the 1720 shroud and get one of the stainless cans from arkmaker and fill it with some better baffles and such.  I think you would end up with a much quieter shooter.

I have a good innards drawing somewhere which I'll try and dig up for you in a bit.

A TKO will do the job.  Either a 5" one for Crosman (need to remove the shroud) or the more expensive one for the Prod.  that just screws on to the end of the shroud. Just depends on the "look" you want.  Either will quiet the gun down to where you just hear the hammer hitting the valve.

Thanks guys,
I ordered a TKO 1700 Mod this evening.
BillK:  I got the one that screws on to the shroud.
RetatCDude:  Thanks for your help.  Do you have a TKO on your 1720T ?
I'll repost when I get it installed.  Right now I'm in AZ (nice weather) and the gun is in WA (crappy weather, even for ducks).

I should have for yard shooting.
I had one on my PRod.
When I sold PRod, I sold the TKO although it is the same one for the 1720T.

The 1720T is setup for pistol HFT and barrel length is an issue there.
