Thanks for the suggestion Joe, I will do that when I have it all set up.

An update on the gun. I'm not excited with the chrony numbers but one step at a time!

doesn't shoot bad at 50 yards considering I chopped the barrel and "crowned" it  ;D and the awful extreme spread/deviation.

Here it is so far. Next up is hpa tank, reg, and adapter. I don't know when JDS Will restock but it'll be awhile i assume.

Looking real good!

Now for the tuning. I'm not sure what you ended up with for a PA, but you may need to be able to back it off less than stock for a flat string. If you made a PA from a stock cap, that is not possible. I am using the stock Disco cap on my Disco that is drill and taped to 3/8-24 and I can back off enough to get a pretty flat string in the 800 fps range. The Disco cap is much longer than a 22xx cap. I found that if it is un-regulated, then I had to settle for less power which gave me more shots and a flater string. I can crank inthe PA anytime I want to boost me back into the 900+ range if I need to take out a tree rat.

Did you get a chrony yet? It will help fine tune it to your liking.

Thanks for turning my pictures around!  8) don't know why they do that when I upload from phone.

And for the tuning. I have magnum air power adjuster. As well as some minor porting and made a poly tube transfer port. Maybe I'm expecting too much from a 17" barrel and gauge-less 19" disco tube? I settled with this tune for now but should and will tune for lower extreme spread, better efficiency. I plan on a 24" barrel soon.

I did notice my first 5 shots were on quite the extreme angle down perhaps causing the 25+ fps jump on shot number 6 and that's the only 25+ fps jump in the string not including shot 19 to 20. So tomorrow I will do a more thorough chrony session and power adjustment tuning. But the consistency has potential I think.

It groups well for my own barrel chop and haven't had a formal target session. As I have no rangefinder yet, I haven't the need for heavy target work. I do have a 50 hard range and will get some paperwork done soon. I mainly hunt but certainly love shooting paper.

Next steps are a 24" barrel, perhaps a LW from mac1 is what I'm thinking. I know, sheesh, this gun is getting up there in price and my girlfriend sees it as a money dump plus I still plan a drop tank adapter, tank and reg! But this is what I want and since I can't afford to drop $1000+ on a high end gun at once, I'll make my own over the course of several months  ;D

Speaking of drop tank adapters, I don't know when JDS will restock so I'm wondering has anyone here made one their own, to go nicely with a 22 ci tank?

Thanks everyone for reading!

I've used the Archer Air drop blocks in the past.

Thanks, that has crossed my mind and could be most economical, but is it really safe to mod those archer drop tank adapters up to 3000psi? I want my regulator somewhere around 1600-1800 so a 3k burst disc will be used as well.

The Archer tank block can be used.  There is room between the o-rings for another set of mounting screws.  There is very little space between the end of the tube and the stock mount screws.
I have a QB79 using the block, 13ci 3000 psi bottle regulated to 1400 psi, 50 shots per fill, 845 fps, 25 fpe.  I did drill and thread for a second set of mounting screws.
