Does anybody have shot strings for a 2400kt .22 comparing 10", 14.6", and 18" barrels that they'd be willing to share?  I'm trying to decide which barrel to order from the custom shop.

Thanks!

No string to show MV curve over the life of a cartridge but my 2400 KT w/18" Crosman barrel in .177, in stock tune, averages 660 fps w/Crosman Premier HP 7.9 gr. I'm sure I've seen strings posted over at network54, thing is very few if any are stock guns.

Thanks cobalt.  Maybe someone else here will have something.  I'm pretty sure that I'm going to go with the .22 cal, but am still not sure.  Are you happy with the accuracy on your 2400?  How is it for critters?

From my notes a 2400KT w/14" barrel & CPHP 14.? 10 shot avg. 541 FPS.  Crosman RPA turned all the way in.
                          2250XE    18"     "         "        "          "      "    582   "  .   This has had a little smoothing of the valve.  Not enlarging just smoothing.
                          2250XE    24"     "         "         "          "      "    649  "  .
The Crosman RPA does not turn in far enough to stop at coil bind.  Most other RPAs will turn in to coil bind & gain some more FPS.
So, about 10FPS per inch.

Thank you, Bill.  That's just what I was looking for.  Why would you want a rear power adjuster?  How do they work?

A RPA either increases or decreases the tension on the hammer spring.  So the hammer will hit the valve stem harder and allow more CO2 into the barrel making a more powerful shot.  Or on a target gun you can turn the adjusting screw out and lower the power to get more shots from a CO2 cart.
It takes the place of the rear cap on the air tube.

I was getting an avg of 502 with a 14" barrel in .22 for 30 shots on a 2250. Had the PA turned in a lot.
The 2250 I have now with an 18" .22 barrel is averaging the same 500 avererage, but for 40 shots.

So with a PA, you can sacrafice shot count for a little more power or tune for max shot count and loose a little fps. But the best thing is to find your guns flatest curve and live with it knowing that your gun will shoot consistant for a known number of shots.

I love my little 2250 (which is basically the same thing as a 2400KT). Would like to have one in .177 cal again someday. Because I love to show off my little 18" carbine........here is a pic!
