Guys

Help me understand the concept/reason for the large wheel/dial on the parallax dial?

I know what parallax is and does etc.
What I don't know is, why the large wheel/dial etc?   ???

More precise adjustment and reading of the range so that pellet trajectory can be applied to the target at that range.    A larger wheel gives a larger arc at its perimeter than a smaller wheel for any given movement so a finer reading is possible.    All this assumes fine accuracy of the optics and mechanics of the scope to be effective..    Mostly for target use - especially field target for air guns.
