I just read on another forum where a guy says to stop shooting and put a fresh co2 cartridge in when your pellets start to drop or you could damage your tko. Is he right?

I think that if that were true Mike would put a "warning" on his web site.  After dealing & talking with him over the years he is so honest, if that could damage his TKO, he would sure let you know.
Why you would want to shoot a cartridge so low that the pellet "falls out" of the barrel, IDK.
Although, no worries as Mike will fix your TKO if you double load & shoot two pellets through it and mess it up.
As mentioned the shorter TKO are good for the pumpers & CO2 while the longer are best for PCP.

I had a pellet in my moderator the other day, but that was off a cartridge practically empty. Zero damage to aluminium baffles.

I expect any pellet with just enough energy to leave the barrel but drop 1mm over the short distance of a mod isn't going to have the energy to do any damage.

I count my shots when setting up a new 22xx. Once I know the magic number, there are no more worries about getting a pellet stuck in a barrel or dropping poi.

A stock 2240 gets approx. 35 good shots..... Approximately. New cart after that for me unless I've tuned over a chrony.

Yeah, I do to, I get about 25 shots before it starts dropping. By the way my 6.5 tko is due today, I hope that's not too long of one.

Jimbo

Tko is installed and I am truly amazed. You guys were right this thing is incredible! I might have to put one on my 2260 rifle!

Jimbo

Well I got my 2240 sighted in dead on at 10 yards and with the tko it still was. It is dove season here in Indiana and I spotted one at about 35 yards so I aimed high 3 times and I thought wow I think the co2 cartridge is maybe leaking or something because that's how it sounded. So I thought what the heck and I put the red dot dead on and that sucker dropped like a rock!

DHunter

I've heard, but could not give a link or tell you from experience yet, that it may improve the accuracy too, by peeling off turbulent air right after the pellet exits the barrel so that turbulence can't kick the pellet around.

I ordered the 6.5 TKO for my 2240 yesterday, got a email today saying it has shipped.
It also came with a free 1911 trigger.

Jimbo

You will be amazed at the difference!

Does anyone know if TKO makes any with a 1/2-20 thread to fit the new 2240XL?

According to a email conversation I had with the owner they do have. I would email him, he will get back with you.

Thanks. I think I found it on his website. Looks like I'm going to need to order something custom. The 1/2"- 20 ldc for the 2240xl is 6.5" long. I'm looking for one in the 5" range. I can give up a little noise to stay more compact.
Well see. Need to save up 👌

BTW: I like the way he divided up his website into sections. Makes sense to me...

You're right, he did say 6.5 was the shortest one he had for the 2240 XL.
He did tell me that the 5" one was about 25% louder than the 6.5, hope you find what you're looking for.

25% less quiet will work out fine for me. Out here, I just want to take the edge off the mark. Neighbors can't hear anyway, for the most part 🙉

muzzle brakes are possible the only airgun related items we have it easier with in the UK(laws)
to my eyes the TKO's don't look a patch on the ones we have or can make and the weihrauch ones are a sort of benchmark for them
