Hi all. I've jost done a flattop valve replacement
and brass Gmac barrel band and some other
small mods. I found it quite tricky to get the barrel
back into the barrel breech. Any tips.

His bands are great, putting that to the side though.
With just the breech and nothing else fitted can you get the barrel into its correct location with ports lined up?
if its fouling you should see the marks around the breech end of the barrel. Might just need a little smoothing and polish around this area.
Also try and give the breech a good clean inside where the barrel would fit making sure the grub screw is out to make sure there is not deposits in there. Not sure what the forums view is on this but i tend to use a little grease around this part to eliminate any build up of surface rust, not that its in one peice long enugh but it makes me happy knowing its there :P

I have long breech. Do you put barrel into breech and
fix grub screw, then fit to rest of gun?

I put the barrel into the breech then use the OEM transfer port tube to line the orifice up and then tighten the grub screw.  This way the barrel will be lined up with the transfer port when you assemble the rest of the gun.

I've never wanted something so useless in my life.
