Price INCREASE

At Wallyworld.  Bought 2 tins of Crosman destroyers and 2 tins of Crosman pointed pellets for $2.00 each (250 pellet size).
Today I went to get another 2 tins of destroyers and BOTH types of the above mentioned pellets were now $2.47 each.....almost a 25% increase.  So maybe someone out there can get to their Wallyworld and still get some at 2 bucks a pop.

Yikes....but it isn't just the cost it's the increase in cost...inflation here is about 0% so where is the justification??  Oil prices are up and lead is heavy so I could understand some increase due to transportation but not this much.
Anyway I hope anyone who read my post in the 'States' got a heads up on this.

You always have to watch Wal-Mart and their prices. 

As of May 1st, there was supposed to be increases in ammunition, something a quick glance didn't bring the other day when I was in there, which is kinda surprising.  I couldn't really see much of the airgun stuff, they had a cart with boxed product blocking it.  I'll have to visit the other store sometime, too.

Just an aside about prices.  Went to K-Mart the other week and picked up a tin of Crosman Competition wadcutters (Wal-Mart don't keep wadcutters, except in the Daisy dial a pellet) and it is $3.99/250, but was on sale, so it came to $3.39 + tax.  When I worked up my MidwayUSA order, I needed something to push it over their minimum, so I ordered 3 500 packs of the same pellet - $3.99/500.  So I should have saved my money when I went to K-Mart.    LOL

$6.97 for .177 RN hollowpoints
$7.97 for .22 RN hollowpoints
$7.97 for .177 Lead Free hollowpoints
$14.97 25 pk CO2 ctg.  Bought a pack of those to replace the recently spent pack.

Wow, they've gone up since last time I bought any. Kmart had the best deal on Co2. Got my last 25 pack for 12.97

I don't remember what the local K-Mart is pricewise.  I can tell you they have 'em behind glass now, where the Firearms used to be.  And have to find an employee willing to find you the key. 

Wal-Mart has 'em right out where I can pick up one-to how ever many packs is there and keep shopping.  Nope, not big on Wal-Mart, just stating the facts of the local K vs W.

Of course, not many folks are gonna wanna pay $30 for 500 Winchester Dynapoints at K-Mart either.    Not when Wal-Mart offers Winchester's "555" packs for $19.47.
