If your desperate and want to re-import one:

They are in stock but ONLY with an extended probe and .177  :)

This is just hilarious!
09/02/2011 Notice steel breeches restocked and order 2240SBPK, peved no email notification for the second time.
09/08/2011 While wondering why I've not gotten an order email notification from Crosman, UPS delivers said parts.
09/09/2011 Get email notification from Crosman that 2240SBPK steel breeches are in. Second email that the 1377SBPK steel breeches are in, that asked for back in June.

I've had one or two where the fit is not that good and them some where it is flush. Seems like a hit or miss and I think it is the way the cut the rear end of the breech.

Got mine today will see if the plug fits ok. if you opened up the hole a little where the breech screw goes in do u think that will help?

Yes, that will fix it. You will need more than a little though. If you have the means to slot it would be better probably.

The slot will help but you will still need something to keep it sitting flush because the plug is not held by the screw and can move around in the end of the breech.

New breech is great zeroed the carbine back in and accuracy is great with these breeches. The end cap sits more flush than the brass one I have on my other gun. It would wind me up if the end cap rattled about, little things like that really bother me.
One thing on this batch of breechs the bolt handle on mine sits a little bit loose, compared with my other one that really clicks into place I love that feel of quality and fine tolerances.

Ok, so this normal. Easy solution, make my own breech plug. ;)

Funny, they can locate the two breech screws but can't locate the hole, in the plug, for a nicer fit. ;D

Better to have it and not need it then need it and not have it!
