power adjuster

I was reading a post by a guy who said u can never raise the  power output on a factory spring with a power adjuster,but it seems to me if u tightened it up a lot it would have to put more pressure on the hammer.Is he right?

I think it does, but someone will be along hopefully with a chrono for some scientific evidence.

i guess the extra fps i get from a preloaded stock hammerspring is a figment of my imagination!
