Is the 1389-022 green or black.   I read in a post someone saying they have a 1399 stock.  What is the difference?  I want mine to be black.  I looked on amazon and they have on for $25 + $9 shipping from pyramid.  But it looks like if I order from crosman it is only $12.  Which part number do I want?

The 1399 is black....

The green one comes with the backpacker.

Don't forget, you can always paint the stock and pump arms with some good quality spray paint....

My 1389 stock is dark green. It's so dark I thought it was black until someone on this forum said they were green. Then, I noticed it was indeed green.

The 1399 stock on the Crosman web site is $26.59.  http://www.crosman.com/gear/custom

Not sure where you get a $12 price from.

It's cheaper if you order it from parts. I got mine for this price.

The link is of the sticky "How to convert a 1377 into a carbine".  The person mentions prices and has the 1389 stock as $12.50.    But you're right.  The crosman site does say $30 for the 1399 stock.

Carl & all,
I called 1-800-724-7486 in April of this year.  I believe that is Crosman's customer service number.  I asked if I may place an order and was put on hold.  When the next person answered, they asked if I had my part numbers ready.  I gave them part number 1399a001.  They confirmed that it was for the Crosman Shoulder stock.  I asked the price and they told me $10.80.  I told them that I wanted one.  They asked for the next part number and ect.  After the last part, they gave me the total and said that shipping would be $4.  When it got here, it was black.
In July I called them back and repeated the process with the part number 1389-022.  They confirmed that it was a Shoulder stock for $12.29 but could not tell me the color.  When it arrived, it was Green.
That is how I got most of my parts.  Crosman's price has been consistently lower.  I suspect that if you get Crosman parts somewhere else, whoever you are buying them from got them from Crosman and paid the regular Crosman price.
Cheers,
Jerry
