Is this a weird Crosman MK2 ?

Just got my hands on a Crosman MK2 in .177 caliber.  It is in very good condition but needs new seals, which is ok with me.   Upon looking closely at the pistol, it seems that it is one of the old variants of the MK pistols.  What I find weird is that it has the velocity adjusting screw up front under the barrel and the side marks (Up and Down) on the frame.  See the picture enclosed.  I thought this was something that only the MK1 had which are in .22 caliber.

Could someone throw some light on this.

Power adjustment screw is fairly common. There is one on my Mark II. Did you know there is also a hi and lo power level achieved by half or fully cocking the pistol?

Thats like the mark ii that I have. They are fairly common.

Mark I and Mark II pistols built pre-1975 had the power adjuster screw.
You got yourself a good gun.  I love the old Crosman Marks.  Good balance, good fit/feel, great trigger, accurate, well built, easy to use/maintain/repair, good looks, I could go on, but you get the picture.

I recently rebuilt my MKII with parts from JG Airguns.  Very good company to deal with.
