Is there anyting that will make it easier to get the pins lined up correctly when putting on a 1389 pump arm?

I hate replacing pump arms.

I use an 8D finishing nail. Start the rear pin first since the hole in the linkage arm is a bit elongated. The nail can help line up the front hole as you drive the pin.

It looks like they could figure out another way to install them ,but then I guess they wouldn't be $60.

I got the pump handle on ,but they sure don't make it easy.I lined the front screw hole up with a small screwdriver and drove the back pin in then put the front pin in.Thanks for the help.
