That's pretty cool. Let us know how it holds up!

That came out great. I tried that on one of my 1377s, but the stamping was inconsistant so the end effect was not so good.

Is there such a thing as a brass crayon? I would like that color on my carbine pump tube.

Has anyone grind-ed or sanded their pump tube smooth?  ???

It is possible to use fingernail   polish, put it on thick and leave it for an hour and the take a rag with fingernail polish remover and swipe the excess off. There are a bunch of youtube videos on how to do it.On the plus side of the crayons they were only $1.50 for a box of 24.

I've done similar with a gold crayon, or a small bottle of Testors' paint. RC

Sandpiper, I have done this 100s of times on Blued Savage and Remington rifles with gold leaf paint, It is almost permanent fill in with very small brush, wipe off whats not wanted, Let it dry about 15 min,Wala. PS clean good first with lacquer thinner

Ok, I'm in. I just filled in the stamped lettering on my brass-accented carbine with a gold acrylic paint. Easy to do and looks pretty good.

I tried this out on my new PB today. You can't see the S&W logo to good in this pic, but it is done and looks ok. Not as great as I thought it would be, but ok. I did the warning as well. I still need to redo that logo in blue! My wife had a brand new bottle of blue nail polish, but freaked out on me when I wanted to borrow a little  ;D ;D
