Crosman Boss valve upgrade 2240

Hi,
Can you guys please advise. If doing the Boss valve upgrade for the 2240, would a longer barrel be better, or will the standard length one be O.K.

I asked the same thing a wile back because my Boss didn't give much more then the original with a 10" barrel. Think basically the conclusion was that to get max from the Boss you need a rifle long barrel.

co2 expands and a longer will give it more time to expand thus more so more umph .14" barrels are considered ideal for all around purposes for co2 use
