My parts came in for my 1377 last night and I installed the steel breech and the scope I got from Crosman.

I also got the stock extension, but don't plan on using it right now.

I like the scope, sighted it today, works good.  Moved the scope all the way back so it would fit my holster.

But it does not fit the holster very well at all, and now I have no open sight option.  The scope will be good for many things but not so good with snakes, one of the reasons I got the pistol.

So here is where I am at.  I want a pistol to carry in the woods in a holster, but I like the current 1377 setup for what it is.

Options to consider so far:
1) Order the open sight option from Crosman for my current pistol and remove scope.
2) Buy another stock 1377 and leave it stock.
3) Look at a different pistol option (Ruger Mark I) to carry.

Current setup:

Crosman 1377 scope, laser, tactical light
Crosman 1322
Crosman 600
Crosman storm XL
Benjamin  titan 22
Daisy 15XT
Beeman P17
Crosman Trail NP Pistol
WRS 350 .177

Martin, Harley, Goldwing and Cub Cadet, ya I'm like that...

Crosshairs

How bout a sling i use one when in the woods and it works great.

Nah, don't shoot the snakes. If you do that, you'll have a mouse problem. If you're ever in danger from a snake and you have time to shoot it, you're probably not really in danger from a snake. If you really are in danger from a snake, you might be doing something wrong.
