Might just try that on one of mine!
What the heck, may be able to get it down to 10 yards!

I did this on one of scopes. Pretty easy to do. JMJ

I have used the same method to adjust a few scopes, only one needed a hair dryer to loosen the thread lock compound. It can be a pain unless you have the special tool to hold the inner ring when you tighten the outer ring.

Yes, this trick has been around for quite a while now. Can't say I have employed it though. I did try it on a Tasco 6 - 24x 50mm scope though, but being an AO made for centrefire use it had parallax correction from about 50 yds on upwards. I tried to unlock the ring but no budge, just slightly rounded one slot in the ring, so left well enough alone. Just never used this scope on an air rifle... Maybe next time I'll try it on a non AO type...

Anyway, this parallax thing... Even with AO, it's amazing just how inaccurate the markings are on the adjustment rings are. Just yesterday, I was toying around looking through one of my scopes and noticed this very parallax phenomena in the field of vision while aimed at the corner of the shed about 10m (10-11yds) away, so I made the adjustment on the ring, only to find I had to move it to about 52ft which is about 17yds (15+m) before it corrected itself. This is not unusual... Just don't take it foregranted...!!!
