Problems with Tippmann stocks

I put Charlie's stock adapter on a couple months ago. This is a beautiful piece of work by the way!

Anyway, the issue I'm running into doesn't really have to do with the adapter but the connection between the adapter and the stock. Since the stock is plastic, the screws in the adapter begin to wear at the plastic and the stock becomes a bit loose over time.

Has anyone ever run into this problem and if so what did you do about it?

I used longer set screws in mine to make up for the indentation the screws make in the plastic.  When I first received mine I was worried about ruining the stock where the set screws were.  Like yours it always got loose and wobbled.  I decided to try and make the screws tight and it's been fine since then.  By the it's the stock and adapter on my latest Disco build.  I need to remove the stock to adjust the PA before i shoot.
After the initial indentations from the screws they didn't increase too much in depth too much, but they did go in deep enough that the original set screw were too short.

If it's not broken then modify it!

What size and thread are the screws?

I believe there are 8-32 and 3/16" or a 1/4" long.

Great! I guess I'll have to head down to the hardware store sometime to see if I can find some.

could you do something like this except with the stock

Good idea for the barrel band but probably will not work for the stock.

I also used some 8-32 screws and then finally went to some 10-24 screws that worked out the best.  It is still a fragile design that is not really made for much off and on use.

I've never wanted something so useless in my life.
