Anyone have a .25 cal based on a 2240/2250/1377?

I've always liked the idea of a big fat lump of lead for close range ratting or pigeon or just blasting targets

I'd like to see pics and specification, where did the parts come from, etc

Also Id like an honest answer on how loopy the trajectory is and useable range.

I always like a read of this information on the DAQ 2550
http://www.americanairgunhunter.com/crosmanmainpage.html
Although if it was in a pistol I'd be limited to only 6fpe in the UK!

At say 6m a .25 UK legal pistol would be great, nice big target holes (great for a old blind git like me)
Out at 15 /20 m your going to have a trajectory like a rainbow (tried a HW45 in this cal)
If you want .25 stick to rifles.

Hey There!

I have a 1377 w/ 17" barrel, a 1325 w/ 12" barrel and a 2540 also w/ 12" barrel. I will reply back later with numbers but have to go back to sleep right now...

This is an old thread, but here's my 2550 pistol.  12" TOW 25auto barrel, Biohazard valve, TKO air stripper & 2-stage trigger, Mellon extended probe & spring adjuster, Ricks ambi grips, AOA HDD, Grant the Kiwi's valve tube cap, and a Tasco 2x.  It shoots good.  I use Beeman or H&N FTs.

It was inspired by Chapman's articles.

nice shooter!
how fast does it shoot? per pellet
closed mouths dont get fed

Don't have a chrony.  Adjust it by how it sounds and how hard it seems to hit.  Others have said their 25 Biohazard gets velocity like a 2240 with the maxflo valve.

I have a 2240 in the UK converted to .25 cal' with a TR.Robb breech it spits out pellets at just under the legal max and packs one hell of a wallop at 6 yards I love it.

Here is a cool 1325/2540 thread that shows my toys and a little performance summary by our very own Quickster: http://www.crosman-air-pistol-owners-forum.com/board/index.php/topic,4528.msg44779.html#msg44779

Thanks again, Master Carl, for your help and efforts  :-*

Hi,

Yes, that's a shame as i'd really like one for my .25 2250.  I've seen a sort of DIY version on the Yellow or Green forums it was 1/2 crosman & 1/2 qb78 just cant find the link now :(

i guess if the boss valve is giving just about the same performance then i am not really missing much and the boss valve is available

Converted mine to 2540 using a Marauder barrel machined to suite...as other fellows mention...packs one heck of a wallop.

2550 also fitted with a Marauder barrel. Valve modded more or less to Biohazard spec, poly tubed with an rva built into the stock mount. Flat our BARKS with a fresh cartridge and hits hard. ;) Might decide to bulk this one before spring.

Both are shooters too....I do LOVE these Green Mountain barrels. :-\
