Why does walmary bother to work things out with crosman for a "special" YEAH RIGHT! 1377?
I mean it is WALMART after all.

BDS

"Pumpmaster Classic" on Wally site or... "PC 77"

P.A. lists theirs as 1377C/PC77, covering all bases I'm guessing so as not having to worry about where the product comes from?

Not sure why Wallyworld would get their own designation...1377x do you know why?  ???

TOO many freaks and NOT enough circuses

Pumpmaster Classic is more appealing to the world masses. Marketing. Simple as that. I bought my last "American" Classic at Academy Sports, but I bet within a couple of years, they will all be PM Classics.

Over here with the Queens' Jubilee this weekend, the countries gone Patriotic mad with Union Jacks everywhere!  :)

"God save the Queen!"

The flag was at one point viewed badly for certain reasons but has now reverted to the icon it has always been to the majority.
The Jubilee's even gone global to a degree...

What am I trying to say?  ??? I'll attempt to keep you conscious and explain!  ;)

I think Crosman should stick to their guns as it were and retain the American branding on the gun. It's only certain parts of the world
and certain people that may be put off by it. I think Crosman should take pride in it. It is after all a classic American gun and quite
unique as are the Webley pistols over here in the UK.

I remember we had a short thread on here about guns parts being made in the far east. For me I have no issue with that so long
as the product is good. Where it is from is of no consequence to me but I do understand the pride of keeping it home but such is
the way of the world these days.

I also understand the marketing aspect too, but really I think if you get into Crosmans you have already accepted the
products origins (if that matters). Take the name Weihrauch, would you avoid it because of the German origin?
Not me, love 'em and they sell thousands. Granted neither Webley or Weihrauch say the country as part of the name but
I'd still buy it if it did.

If someone doesn't buy it because it says American, well more fool them.  ;)

All IMHO!

Well said Northstar and... if country of origin were an issue (despite the name) then the Weihrauch guns certainly elicit a country that (was) part of the Axis as opposed to Crosman and the group of Allies on the side of good v. evil, eh what?  :-*
