Replaced the anemic striker spring with the red one which came with a certain device...HOLY FREAKIN HECK! :D

Loud AND sharp note to it now. Fired a bunch at some plywood and in the midst of having a great stress relieving time, remembered to run a few over the chrony.

These are 00 buck run through a sizing die, they are ~60grains. On an 1800psi fill and down to ~600psi...

318 fps
347
477
439
395
340

I'll call it a promising start...have one more shot than I figured I would, and a higher max velocity than figured as well. :)

Will try to get a video up this weekend.

Let the tweaking begin. :-*

Impressive start on this project, Al. Are you using a standard 22xx air tube?

Thanks...it's performing a little better "right off the bat (lathe)" than anticipated...still grinning from last night.

The tube is purpose built from 1" x .065"wall 4130 seamless tubing. Valve and fill plug are secured with (3) 10-32 low head SHCS with the heads countersunk into the valve and fill plug.
