I just throw mine on my Rock Jr. rest and read bag, or on a thick towel on the kitchen table.

Actually the stand was originally designed to display the guns but it does also function as a maintenance type stand.  I've made many, many different variations for many different types of guns.

I've never wanted something so useless in my life.

Bench space is not a problem for me as my "hobby shop" is a 10x12 room with three 4' folding tables in a "L" shape. I have dedicated one table to air pistols. A stand is what I need so the pistol does not have to lay on the bench all the time.  I have no wood working tools nor the skills needed to make a decent one  :(

In regards to the different types of grips... maybe a adjustable holder at the rear?  I will think on that and see what I can come up with over the weekend.

glad im not the only one using the kitchen table!
i use a thick towl on top of cardboard, the tv wall hanger box is the perfect size.if im not working with small springs then ill use the outside table, its nice to work under natural light
