As much as I like some of the synthetic stuff, camo and others... but, there's nuthin like wood and steel.  :-*

Yeah the sportsman stocks are a bit wide at the bottom for me too.  The Targets look about right when held side by side to them.  I'll hopefully have mine early next week to put on a 1701.

The target grips arrived today.  Much better.  :)

Thanks!  It kind of looks like oak from the pic but it's actually walnut.  And yeah, Ralph does a nice job!

Mike drilled and tapped a 6-32 hole in the LDC.  The post is a stock front post from a 2300S.  They're $1.96 from Crosman.  I was worried that it would be too short since the LDC is a smaller diameter than the stock muzzle brake but there was plenty of adjustment in the rear sight to handle the difference.
