Nice Bill.... those are getting very hard to find in the OEM condition.

This is coming my way on Monday next, an original 622 in great (stock) shape but... Tim in CT is mod'ing the valve, adding o-rings, bead blasting and coating the receiver, re-finishing the woodwork, polishing the internals and making a 2lb trigger, crowning barrel and breech, etc , etc. Oh ya... it will come with 3 yes 3! 622 pell-clip magazines too! :D  :-*  :-\

Should be worthy of new pics for you when I get it!

Thanks.  I just hope the Greek customs guy doesn't snatch it and try to use it on his FIAT since it is labeled on the customs form as "Brake Part (Brass)"!   ;)

Todays purchase: a HW45 in .177 flavour, looks to be and I am hoping it is polished, worth the risk methinks  :-*

Droid, is the HW45 polished to a shine or it is still under the 'nickel' paint that came from the factory. I always wondered if the HW45 paint from the factory can be removed and sanded down to a shiny metal finish? I think the HW45 is made of some alu alloy rather than the pot metal like the Crosman.

Don't know yet. I understood most of them were black anodised, there was a early silver version that was painted though.

I always fancied a polished one, didn't really need one that badly but when I saw that one for sale I thought why not  ;)

Droid,
I recall seeing that shiny HW45 on the UBC forum. It might even be the same one from across the pond. Yeah shiny does look much better than the factory finish on the gun. I wonder if that one of yours could be re-blued somehow?

BigErn

That's a real sweet piece there Gary!!!!!

Well, a new 40cm long barrel (.177) is on it's way from a fellow airgunner, plus a black barrel band and a stainless steel pivot pin from gmac. I really think the band and the new pivot pin will work wonders for my 1377 project. Can't wait to have them in my hands.
