Any way to discharge gas first though? Don't like idea of touching while charged.  I have number of a top man so ringing him tomorrow to see if any ideas.

Just a dumb thought, but the 600 is a cap piercing gun right? Versus the valve piercing of a 2240 gun, so could it be a simple as flipping the cartridge 180 degrees?

See told you it was a dumb thought, but then I have been there when I had my 150  ;)

Problem at the moment is it's gassed and locked up.

I believe I followed instructions to the letter (I was reading manual as I did it)
Pulled back slide to cock and pushed forward (swing out arm swung out)
Put pellgun oil on cartridge
Put cartridge in butt first
Tightened cap
Opened cap a little
Tiny hiss if gas
Went to dry fire as it said, nothing happens  ???

These are only threads similar I can find (but they don't say how sorted) but they both say gassed without cocking, I swear I did but who knows maybe I did wrong?.  Having said that in one Tim Mac1 says should still be able to civil but I can't

Update: it's working! So first caveat I think it was me  :-[ so it seems that it was kind of half cocked.
The follower was out and the slide loose as if cocked, but sear not engaged.
I went to look again this morning and again checked feed, slide etc.  and thought although slide free moving it's not fully cocked I'm going to try pushing the slide further.  Put of gentle force and click.  Pull trigger and bang  :D

So maybe half cock is really that Hammer stick part way back, not enough to engage sear but enough to make follower pop out.
So I'm saying my fault cocking needs to go back further and all is good.  Next is load her up and have a blat

Done good today, got a polished and tuned CP88 with Holster and a Mk3 Alecto  :)

Very nice Gary, I've handled that CP and the polish job makes it much nicer & realistic in the hand.

The Alecto mk3's are great, full UK power, very accurate, no co2 needed and can fit a doofer too

I had a very small steel item arrive, fitted straight away though  8)

Dude goes in big! Nice order, Tom. You know a mandatory range report will be expected. How will you be filling the Syn-Rod?

Hand pump for now bottle feed in the future. Was looking at the AA200s but got more gun with the syn-rod plus a lot more for less. :)

That's a pretty sweet setup, Davio  :-\

What size is the lathe?

It is the new Grizzly G0769 lathe with milling head.  The lathe is an 8x16.  Two 3/4 hp 110V motors only pull 17 amps combined and are both variable speed (no gear changes). It even has DRO on the lathe rpm's already.

It will cover everything I need to do with it. Lots of my tooling from the smaller lathe will work on / with it.  The mill will open lots of breeches doors for me.   ;D
