Not from UPS but I picked up a new model American Classic 1377. I didn't need it but as I walked down the aisle in Walmart I heard it in the distance I tried to ignore it, really I did. As I walked past and saw the price at $49 my resistance lowered and when it jumped in the shopping cart I didn't even try to take it out. :)

Some of those Crosmans just seem to have a mind of their own, I seem to remember a Crosman jumping in my basket a few years back, friendly little fellers just want to be with someone  :-*

I'll give it a test as a pistol when I get back to Colorado. It's not going to stay a pistol very long when I get home though! :)

Where are you now?  Make sure to hit me up so when can go shooting when you get back.

With the newer version, are the forearm pumper grips screwed in or installed with pins (like the ones made before)?

They are screws now instead of roll pins.  Holes in the pump lever are threaded but they are in the same location as before.  So to mount the back packer style fore arm you would need to drill out the holes and obtain some roll pins.
Man, that was close!

well I am getting my first non Benji/Crosman air rifle

should be here Friday eventually I will be getting a 26" 1956 Beretta Hakim 22lr barrel that I think is also a hammer forged barrel...

I am hoping with that barrel it will send out everything from CPHP 14.3 to 30g-40g .224 boolits...

I will plink and enjoy for a good while stock first...

I have been a Crosman Benji customer for a long time and there have been very few other offerings that tempted me... while Crosman has had probs at times they  have kept great parts availability and customer service...

There was one pumper that beckoned me away when I was younger  It was the Titan Mowhawk MP... So I guess it makes sense that my first purchase of a non Benji/Crosman would be from a company that had the sense to hire Jonh Bowkett...

OOPs,

was supposed to be "I will be getting a 26" 1956 Beretta Hakim 22lr barrel" because I already have the barrel was a $20 gunparts score...

There is a bit of Kismet to it  in that it is much like a BSA .22 barrel (hammer forged(I think) and tapered and choked to .218-.219 groove .212 land...)

Bout the same choke as a L.W. barrel...

and I am beginning to get confident I can turn it into a 50-65 fpe combo .224 pellet/boolit shooter...
