Pistol Storage?

How do some of you store your guns? My safe is full and have several pistols to store properly. Was thinking of something like a top toolbox with around 6-8 drawers. Should be at least 17" tall, 16" deep and 26-41" wide.

Or some type of plastic rod projecting from a wall at 75-80 degrees so a pistol barrel would slide right over it. Could store a large number of pistols but pretty insecure.

Or could make a multi-drawer wood cabinet myself.

What do you guys do or any ideas?

I use a variety of hard and soft cases, each with two small packets of dessicant. Some cases were purchased while others were repurposed.

Most of us use Fedex or UPS for our lowly purchases...

Mike uses one of these  :D  ;D

I have a small gun safe that us really meant to hold rifles...one gun gets picked into a wooden box and the p-rod gets locked in the safe with the long guns.  They get covered with a gun sock to protect from scratches.  One rifle size gun sock can be cut into shorter sectionsto fit two or three air pistols.  I have tried playing it cheap by using old clothes etc. but the gun sock is made of the right material and they stretch to fit the guns

My pistols live wherever in the house i last put them down.

My hunting rifle lives lent up in the corner of the bathroom waiting for the next wood pigeon stupid enough to land in my garden.

Wife sometimes moans a little, but we have no kids, and none visit, so im not too bothered leaving them lying around the house.

Spare bedroom walk-in closet... was reworked with 1/8" sheet steel under drywall and on backside of steel & wood fire rated door with 3 point locking bolt system (hidden) on inside/back of door. 2 gun safes inside with all the PBs and high $ AGs, remainder of "room" is accesories, ammo, and about 15 other AGs.

Two full sized safes, both full.  Right now pistols are all resting upright against each other...which i hate.  Have you tried mounting peg board on the inside of the door and mounting pistols there??  I have a Browning safe that came with it, but I never bought the peg things.  I need to try that.  My other is a Fort Knox with a sheet metal inside cover.  I might replace that with peg board as well.
