I was having to much fun today to go to my workshop and find just the right thickness of wire for crosshairs...

I have always preferred peep sights, just quicker acquisition  and more accurate for me 

center the target in the circle, and center the circle in the circle very natural...

i'll get some pics up  later but its very similar to the first stage in the link basicly a tube with a notch for the end plug tapped 1/2"unf which is the most common size for doofer attachment in the uk and is a very tight press fit(might even add a little choke to the barrel)
it was available in the uk in the 90's but are very rare now but i might have a possible source to someone  on a uk forum who made them
if you want brian i'll measure it up and send you the details maybe michael or davio could knock one up for you as they're far better at machining than i am or as i don't use the bluestreak much maybe send you the adapter for you to get it copied then send me it back

engineering tight fit rich(requires gently tapping on) though i have seen similar ones that have a grub screw which i don't like the idea of as the barrel wall is very thin and could be easily distorted
doesn't seem to be any play with the short doofer fitted but haven't as yet tried it on targets
