Nice Rich. Looks like a good and well protected crown. :-*

Good work Rich.  What exactly is the c-bore and is there a particular process used for doing it?

Counter bore is just a recess that keeps the crown a little farther away from being damaged from an errant bump  :D
I used a carbide boring bar and finished off the crown with stones and 900 grit emery clothe.

Redleg

Installed a red dot sight to 3 of my airguns since I have a cataract removal set up in a week and it's in my dominate eye.  So I suppose everything will look differently early next week (at least I hope so).... then, my new glasses won't be ready for a 3 weeks or so.  Hence, the purpose behind sighting in 3 red dots so I can shoot some as soon as the anesthetic wears off  :-X.....

Had one eye done 10 years ago. Piece of cake. You should see pretty well in a couple of days even with out glasses. Getting close to needing the other one done. Steve

#3296
fixed my Crosman 1077

broken hammer spring perch...a small plastic protrusion inside the receiver snapped off

pilot drilled a hole through the receiver and screwed in course threaded screw of proper length

Being the area the screw head is in is covered by the stock I countersunk the inside of stock for the screw head to fit into.

rwe_53,

Excellent repair on the 1077.  Must remember for future use when and if needed.     :-*

Trying to color match paint and sheen to refinish a older Mark 2.

Found the right paint, now have to get the old finish off.

The outer barrel was taken off and painted with the paint shown, the receiver hasn't been painted yet.
