shame that Jim would have thought the larger od would have been more effective
you could try increasing the bore through the baffle washers and endcap

I opened up the exit bore, but didn't help. Might be due to different stiffness if the barrel. Will try rotation. If it works, getting the right thickness washer is easy since I know the thread pitch (.0625"/full turn).

Update. Tried a few things. Accuracy improved but not consistently. Favored a loose interface to the barrel (threads at muzzle, set screw at the rear) which is not workable. Not a big deal as I had no money into this project.

I put the old one back on and measured my site-in distance - 30 yards. Swore it was less than that. Recalculated everything in Chairgun, then set up and shot some groups at 50 and 55 yards. Kept everything on paper (4" diameter target) but confirmed I need more practice before I attempt a FT match.

No pics yet, but.....Finished up my brass bling 2250 pistol yesterday. Now time for tuning. I milled a site into the muzzle brake. May still yet mill a flat on the bottom as well to keep things in perspective. I know this one is accurate. Thing to do now is tame it for a nice even spread.

Also, made good headway on a 2240. All that is left to do is the muzzle brake and anodizing the aluminum parts and of course tune it. Should be a good one or at least I'm hoping it is.

Grand prix on so all work on ripping the old kitchen floor up is halted for a couple of hours
Not too cold in the shed so I've machined the m-rod .25 barrel offcut left over from my carbine to fit a breech I've recently got from Rich which is made for a larger od barrel
I've machined an o ring recess into it for a 010 o ring and turned the barrel to 7/16 think I'll mill the tp seat and drill the port at a later date along with doing a probe

I added a steel breech and shoulder stock to my 1377.  After that I put on a "red dot" sight, which is a great improvement over the factory iron sights.

Has anyone else modified their 1377?  ;)

The easier question would be who hasn't.  ;D

Cleaned my work bench off.  Whew!  That needed doing: BAD.  Also cleaned out my trap.  Must have been 25 pounds of lead in there!  ???  Then I played with my 2289, again.  Been trying to dial this thing in for about 6 months with # of pumps, pellet selection, etc.  In taking the hammer spring out today, I noticed I was getting a lot of hammer drag on the P-rod grip frame.  Does anyone else see that in their backpacker?  I have a custom hammer from Davio that is solid, but it drags on the sear so much so that when holding the trigger down, it won't gravity slide to the valve.  It wasn't dumping all the air at 15 pumps, so I put a heavier hammer spring in, and put a lighter sear spring in.  It still won't free fall, but it's much much better and it dumps all air at 25 pumps now.  Got 486 fps from JSB 25.39 grain pellets!   :-* and 640 from 14.3 CPHP's.  It's a squirrel hammer!
Full blown Crosmaniac.

I have 2 guns with the 1701p trigger. I noticed hammer drag on mine, so they both have Disco springs with preload adjusters to dial in the dump force.
