Went to play with the 1077 rifle today and i needed to change the CO2 bulb. When i unscrewed the cap the bulb was firmly stuck in the tube, usually it just drops out into my hand. Any helpfull suggestions chaps. Cheers. Stan.

Try to shoot it a few times. If that don't work tap on the side with a rubber mallet or hunk of wood. If that don't work you might have to pull it apart.

Try a wood dowl with a dap of hot melt glue, gel super glue on the end.
If this fails, try banging the CO2 tube while the gun is upside down.
Disassembling to remove is a last resort, but is 100% affective.

Always wipe a little bit of airgun oil on a CO2 cart tip before installing.

Other folks have talked about drilling a small hole in the cartridge (obviously when it is completely empty) and threading in a wood screw long enough to allow you to grasp the head and pull the cartridge out.  Seems to work pretty well.

Try a little gentle heat from hairdryer on tube,a little metal expansion may help some.

I've heard that carts can get stuck in the tube if one dry fires with CO2 installed - true? RC

I've heard many good ideas here.  Anyway, several dry firing attempts with the cap off can sometimes do it.  The worst ones are when the bugger gets stuck in a Model F Sheridan.
Shoot safely. Have fun.

Thanks for the replies guys, it looks like a strip down then. I have tried bashing it but its well and truly stuck.

The only other thing might be to either superglue a rod onto the CO2, and pull, or drill a hole in the CO2, and thread a deck screw into the hole and pull.

Well i finally got round to sorting out the stuck bulb. Three screws to take off the stock and a handy opening to put a small screwwdriver into and prise the bulb out. A lot easier than i was expecting. Thanks for all the hints and tips guys. Cheers. Stan.
